Oxford. River lanscapes
Oxford. River lanscapes

It was a brisk Wednesday in January when we headed off to Oxford.  We  had much to do that day so we would not be able to stay and take in the sights. As always my camera came along just in case there was something of interest to photograph on the way, as I knew we would not have time to take many photos once we were in Oxford. As it turned out the traffic in Oxford, or at least the part we were in, was horrendous, so having dropped off my passengers I looked for somewhere to park the car. After several failed attempts at parking in the town I drove over the Thames and found a spot in a side road that had one hour parking. Walking back along the road and over a bridge I looked out across the flowing Thames whilst the sun was still trying to break through the late morning mist and the opportunity to take some river landscape shots was compelling. Here are a selection that were taken in the very short space of time the parking meter allowed.
